This journey reveals Nepal in all its depth, from sacred cities and quiet hilltop villages to dense jungles and Himalayan foothills. It blends culture, spirituality, nature, and daily life, offering a gentle progression from ancient temples and medieval towns to wildlife-rich plains and serene mountain lakes. Along the way, history unfolds through stone carvings and living rituals, while landscapes shift from terraced hills to river valleys and snow-crowned horizons.

DAY 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu

Your journey begins with your flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in the Nepalese capital, you settle in and prepare to explore a country shaped by centuries of faith, trade, and mountain life.

DAY 2 – Kathmandu and Thamel

After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, you are welcomed and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, you explore Thamel, the lively heart of Kathmandu. Narrow streets filled with prayer flags, bookshops, cafés, and small temples introduce you to the city’s vibrant energy and multicultural atmosphere. This first immersion offers a relaxed way to discover the spirit of Kathmandu.

DAY 3 – Kathmandu, Dakshinkali, Kirtipur, and Chobar

The day begins with a drive toward Dakshinkali, home to one of the most important temples dedicated to the goddess Kali. Surrounded by forested hills, the site reflects the deep rooted Hindu traditions of the valley. Continuing toward Pharping, you ascend to viewpoints overlooking the Himalayan range and visit a peaceful Buddhist monastery. The journey then leads to Kirtipur, a quiet and atmospheric town where medieval temples and old brick houses line cobbled streets, preserving a sense of a bygone era. You visit Bagh Bhairab Temple and Chilanchu Vihara, perched on a hill with a central stupa and smaller surrounding ones. On the return to Kathmandu, you stop at the dramatic Chobar Gorge, where the Bagmati River cuts through the hills.

DAY 4 – Patan, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Nagarkot

Leaving Kathmandu, you head to Patan, often called the city of beauty. Once a royal capital, Patan is a masterpiece of Newar architecture, filled with temples, monasteries, and intricately carved palaces. You explore Durbar Square, admire Krishna Mandir, the Golden Temple, and Khumbeshwar Pagoda, each reflecting refined craftsmanship and spiritual devotion. The journey continues to Pashupatinath, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu temple, dedicated to Shiva. From across the Bagmati River, you observe rituals and cremation ceremonies that highlight the Hindu vision of life and death. Nearby, Boudhanath rises as one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, a powerful symbol of Tibetan Buddhism where monks and pilgrims circle the monument in quiet prayer. In the late afternoon, you drive to Nagarkot, arriving as the sun sets over the Himalayan range.

DAY 5 – Nagarkot, Nala, and Bhaktapur

After breakfast, a gentle walk leads from Nagarkot to the village of Nala, passing through Tamang and Chhetri settlements where daily life unfolds among terraced fields. In Nala, you visit the Bhagavati Temple before continuing to Bhaktapur, one of the best preserved medieval cities in Nepal. As the day draws to a close and visitors leave, the city reveals a calmer side. Brick paved squares, pottery workshops, and towering temples create a timeless atmosphere.

DAY 6 – Bhaktapur to Chitwan National Park

The journey continues south toward the plains of Chitwan. This long but scenic drive leads from the hills into the subtropical Terai region. Upon arrival, you settle into your accommodation near Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s largest protected area. The park is home to rhinoceros, deer, monkeys, crocodiles, and an extraordinary variety of birdlife, with the elusive Bengal tiger also roaming its forests.

DAY 7 – Chitwan National Park

The day is devoted to discovering the natural world of Chitwan. You explore the park through activities such as walking in the surrounding nature, visiting nearby villages, or venturing deeper into the reserve. Jeep safaris reveal dense forests and open grasslands, while canoe rides along the river offer close encounters with birds and reptiles. Chitwan’s landscapes provide a striking contrast to the mountains of the north.

DAY 8 – Chitwan to Pokhara

Leaving the plains, you travel toward Pokhara, a city set against the backdrop of the Annapurna range. After arrival, you explore the area, including Devi’s Waterfall, where river water disappears into a deep gorge. For those interested, a walk up to the World Peace Pagoda offers sweeping views over Pokhara, Lake Phewa, and the surrounding mountains.

DAY 9 – Pokhara and Sarangkot

An early start takes you to Sarangkot, a hilltop viewpoint renowned for sunrise views over the Annapurna range. As the first light touches the peaks, the Himalaya reveals its full grandeur. After a gentle walk and return to Pokhara for breakfast, the day continues with a boat ride on Lake Phewa, passing the small island temple of Barahi. You visit the Tibetan village of Tashiling and attend a prayer ceremony at Hemja Monastery. Later, the International Mountain Museum provides insight into Himalayan geography, cultures, and the history of mountaineering. The evening is free, with lakeside restaurants offering beautiful views.

DAY 10 – Pokhara to Kathmandu

After breakfast, you return to Kathmandu by road. The journey offers changing scenery, from river valleys to hillside towns. Upon arrival in the evening, you are free to enjoy a final dinner featuring Nepalese cuisine.

DAY 11 – Kathmandu and Departure

You admire the Taleju Temple and surrounding palaces before heading to Swayambhunath, the famous Monkey Temple. Reached by climbing a long staircase, the stupa rewards visitors with panoramic views of the valley and a powerful sense of spirituality. According to your flight schedule, you are transferred to the airport, bringing this rich and varied journey through Nepal to a close.
